Fatima Malam in Kano State has allegedly stabbed a six-year-old girl identified as Sherifat Usman, who currently struggling for survival.
According to news reports the lady suspect (Fatima Malam) carried out the alleged act in protest, that the girl’s father had given advice to her husband to get another wife.
It was gathered the suspect flee the scene after stabbing the girl multiple times. However, Sherifat’s yell, attracted amblers who came to her rescue.
According to Punch Metro, a source informed that: “Fatima has been acting strange in recent times. Some weeks ago, she brought out a pestle one evening, threatening that she would kill somebody if her husband eventually takes another wife.”
The state Police Public Relations Officer, SP Abdullahi Haruna, confirmed the incident to journalists on Wednesday.
He, however, said the matter was still under investigation as policemen are making efforts to arrest the fleeing suspect.
