At About 11:30pm on Tuesday, 6th December, 2022 a shooting incident occurred involving men of Ajah Division of the Nigera Police Force.
This incident resulted in the needless death of Gafaru Buraimoh, a resident of Happy Land Estate, Ajah.
In a statement e-signed by SP Benjamin Hundeyin, Police public relations officer, Lagos State Command, the Inspector of Police behind the shooting, has been detained and full scale investigation has also commenced.
The statement also revealed that the Lagos State Police Command through the Area Commander, Elemoro and Divisional Police Officer, Ajah has since established contact with the family and notify thwm of the unfortunate development.
The statement reads: “The Command, while commiserating with the family of the deceased over the avoidable and most unfortunate incident, gives assurances that the already commenced investigation into the immediate and remote circumstances leading to the shooting will be brought to a speedy and conclusive end, while equally ensuring that justice is served”.
