In a bid to enhance legislative activities and strengthen grassroots governance, the Executive Chairman of Isolo Local Council Development Area (LCDA), Olasoju Adebayo, has presented official vehicles to councillors representing the seven political wards in the council.
The presentation ceremony, held at the council premises, was marked by palpable joy as councillors and female party faithful from their respective wards sang praises of the council chairman’s efforts.
Olasoju emphasized that the gesture was a testament to his administration’s commitment to empowering lawmakers and improving local government administration.
“Today’s presentation is yet another testament to our unwavering commitment to ensuring that the legislature is empowered to perform their duties and improve local government administration,” he said.
The council chairman assured that his administration would continue to support lawmakers, improve service delivery, and make governance more responsive to the needs of the people. “An empowered legislature is essential to a functional, transparent, and people-centered local government,” he added.
Legislative Council Leader, Hon. Yusuf Oni, commended the council boss for prioritizing the councillors’ convenience, assuring that they would justify the policy by working to deliver on the council’s electoral promises to the people of Isolo LCDA.
