…Asaph Zadok National Scrabble Championship And NSF Inter Club Grand Finale Gets New Venue
The Asaph Zadok National Scrabble Championship, the NSF Inter Club grand finale and the Nigeria Scrabble Federation (NSF), Annual General Meeting (AGM), earlier scheduled to hold at the Moshood Abiola Stadium Abuja have been moved to a new venue.
We gathered that all the events including the Gala Night, will now hold at the exotic and classy Hotel de Bentley in Utako-district, in Abuja on the same date this month.
The President of NSF, Engineer Toke Aka told your authoritative news channel, that the Federation has concluded all plans for a hitch free scrabble festival, the first of it’s kind since the sport received the blessing of the Nigerian Government in 1989.
The week long Scrabble Feast include a national championship tagged Asaph Zadok, the NSF Annual General Meeting, NSF Inter Club grand finale and a special Awards and Gala Night.
Engineer Toke Aka explained that the new date for the governorship election across the Federation will not affect the Scrabble Festival as teams and officials are expected to arrive Abuja on the 19th, a day after the election.
Asaph Zadok National Championship the first in the series of activities starts on Monday the 20th and ends 22nd. The NSF AGM has been fixed for the 23rd while the Inter Club Scrabble grand finale begins 24th and ends on 26th.
The Gala Night which is aimed at rewarding and recognizing the very best behind the sweet story and journey into the world number one scrabble playing nation on planet earth come up in the evening of Sunday March 26th at the magnificent banquet hall of Hotel de Bentley.
FC Couture has been selected to design and produce a customised Green Jacket for Asaph Zadok National Champion which will be presented on Sunday night during the Awards and Gala Night.
Each State of the Federation and FCT is expected to present six players and the Nigeria Scrabble Federation (NSF) will foot their accommodation and feeding bills.
Already Lagos State and the FCT have named their teams for the Asaph Zadok National Scrabble Championship while 12 Clubs will fight for honours at the Inter Club grand finale.
