Hon. Yemisi Bailey Alashe, aspiring Chairman of Ejigbo LCDA, has emphasized the need for improved primary healthcare, maternal and child care, and the eradication of female genital mutilation in the local government area.

In a press statement on World Health Day, Alashe pledged to prioritize healthcare if elected as the Chairman of Ejigbo LCDA. She emphasized the importance of strengthening the healthcare system to provide comprehensive care, focusing on preventive measures and community outreach programs.

Alashe also highlighted the need to enhance maternal and child care services to reduce maternal and infant mortality rates, promote healthy pregnancies, and provide essential care for newborns.

Furthermore, she called for the elimination of female genital mutilation, a harmful practice that affects the rights of women and girls. Alashe pledged to collaborate with stakeholders to raise awareness and educate the public on the dangers of this practice.

The aspiring Chairman urged residents to join her in advocating for improved healthcare in Ejigbo LCDA. “Together, we can create a healthier, more prosperous Ejigbo LCDA,” she said.

Alashe’s commitment to healthcare is a welcome development, especially on World Health Day, which highlights the importance of universal health coverage and access to quality healthcare for all.
