Organisers of the annual Miss Green and White Nigeria (MGWN) beauty pageant, has opened entries for the 2023 edition of the competition.
The annual national beauty pageant that heralded in 2014, was inaugurated to promote peace and holds every October, to commemorate the independence day celebration of the country.
According to the pageant organisers, this year’s edition is open to ladies between the ages of 18-28 from all over Nigeria. While children between age 6-12 are also eligible to apply and contest in the children category.
The beauty pageant according to Juliet Geoffrey Porbeni, the CEO of Green & White Nigeria Ltd, is to “discover talents and give opportunity to young Nigerians, as advocates for a decent and oredered society.
While, ensuring that they are prepared as role models and proponents of peace, which is the key cardinal objective of MGWN”.
She informed that this edition will have Beauties For SDGs as a theme, to promote the UNO’s sustainable development goals.
Since its inception in 2014, past winners and participants, have gone on to notable careers in film, television, music, writing, photography, fashion, makeup and modeling.
