Organisers of the Epe Division Community Annual Awards, (EDCAA) the Concerned Nation Builders Initiative has concluded plans to host the annual community awards in Epe, Lagos.
The NGO(CNI) informs that the event schedule to hold on Thursday, 7th December, 2023, a platform to celebrate distinguish members of Epe Division of Lagos State, that have impacted and made meaningful contributions to the development and growth of Epe community and its Indigenes.
According to the convener Mr Idris Tele Olukoya, “EDCAA was created four years ago to honour notable, prominent and outstanding Epe Division sons and daughters. As well as organisations who have demonstrated exemplary level of leadership and community development, engagement to positively impact the quality of lives in the Division and to serve the needs of its citizens”.
Mr Olukoya says the concerned Nation Builders Initiative has since 2020, honoured individuals and non profit organisations for their extraordinary work, in addressing the pressing challenges within the Epe Division.
“The awards are designed to advance community driven innovation and sustainable solutions to critical issues facing our communities”, Olukoya opined.
The organisers revealed that nominees for the award were selected from the five LGAs and LCDAs that make up the Epe Division; these include Epe, Eredo, Ikosi-Ekiti, Ibeju and Lekki.
Positing that nominees must be Indigenes of Epe Division, with a strong scorecard as regards community projects, impact and achievement. Nominated LGAs/LCDAs and organisations must have clear record of achievement with pictorial evidences.
Mr Idris Tele Olukoya says the organisation in its fifth year is using the occasion of the award ceremony: “To create awareness and seek sponsorship for its next mega project ‘Epe Division Hall of Fame’, schedule to commence in the first quarter of 2024.
The purpose of the project is to bring all prominent sons and daughters of the Division under one umbrella, to brainstorm and navigate opportunities that abound in Epe for the overall interest and development of our dear Division”.
This year’s edition of the EDCA Award will hold on 7th(Thursday) December, 2023 at the Lagos Theatre, Epe. Time is 10AM prompt.
