The Nigeria Women Premier League week 7 match involving Lokoja side Confluence Queens Fc and Ibom Angels FC of Uyo has been officially moved to Friday 10th February, 2023.
It was as a result of clash in date with a political rally billed for same venue the Lokoja Confluence stadium.
According to the Team Manager of Confluence Queens Mrs Tosin Tosin Olorunleke Ojo, the away team Ibom Angels and the league body are fully aware of the development.
“We wrote to the league body for our match against Ibom Angels be moved to Friday because there is a political rally fixed for same date and same venue. Which the request has been granted.
The rally will hold on Wednesday, the following day which is Thursday will be used for cleaning of the stadium, while our match will now be played on Friday.”
“Also, the away team are also carried along in this request and everything is now set. The match will be played on Friday and we are calling on all football lovers in the state to come out in large numbers to support the team.”
Confluence Queens are unbeaten in their last three matches and will be looking forward to making it four.
