Chairperson of Nasarawa Amazons Football Club, Hajiya Hussaina Suleiman Nagogo, has congratulated the club’s Head Coach, Christopher Musa Danjuma, on his appointment as Assistant Coach of the Super Falcons.
Danjuma’s elevation to the senior women’s national team was confirmed in a press release by the Nigeria Football Federation, NFF, which named former Super Eagles coach, Augustine Eguavoen, as interim head coach of the Super Falcons for the Los Angeles 2028 Olympic Games qualifiers.
Eguavoen will lead the 10-time African champions into their second-round qualifying fixtures against Comoros in October. He will be assisted by Danjuma, former Super Eagles goalkeeper and Nasarawa United trainer, Olatunji Baruwa, and ex-Super Falcons defender, Ayisat Yusuf.
In a statement issued by the club’s Media Department on Thursday, Hajiya Nagogo described Danjuma’s appointment as well-deserved and a recognition of his dedication and tactical expertise.
“On behalf of the management, staff, players, and supporters of Nasarawa Amazons FC, I congratulate Coach Christopher Musa Danjuma on this deserving national appointment,” the statement read.

“We wish him the absolute best in this role and have complete faith that, with his vast wealth of experience and track record of merit, he will deliver outstanding results and make our club and the entire nation proud.”
Danjuma, who led Nigeria’s Falconets to the 2024 FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup, brings extensive experience in the women’s national team setup to the crew.
The Super Falcons will begin their quest for a place at the LA 2028 Olympics against Comoros, with both legs of the tie scheduled for the Remo Stars Stadium, Ikenne-Remo, on October 9 and 13, 2026.
