The 2025 edition of the Jakande Estate Isolo Carnival Cup is set to take off on November 29, with organizers finalizing preparations for the annual grassroots football tournament.
The tournament, now in its 27th year, promises to be an exciting celebration of community football excellence.
According to Mr. Ahmed Shekoni, Tournament Director of the Jakande Estate Isolo Carnival Cup, the competition will run from November 29 to December 21, with breaks on December 13 and 20 to allow for adequate preparation for the Grand Finale. All matches will be held at the Jakande Estate Isolo Mini Stadium, Oke-Afa, Ejigbo LCDA, Lagos.
The tournament will feature a 100% knock-out format, with registration free for all participating teams. Attractive cash prizes, trophies, jerseys, medals, and souvenirs await finalists and participants.
The Local Organising Committee, chaired by Mr. Banji Lijoka, is exploring international collaborations and community partnerships to enhance the championship’s standard, visibility, and global recognition.
“We are excited to host this year’s tournament, which has become a staple of community football excellence,” said Mr. Shekoni. “We look forward to seeing teams from across Lagos and beyond compete for top honors.”
